Business honors local mom

Christian Brothers Automotive in Irmo, a locally owned automotive repair shop, donated free oil changes for a year to a mother in honor of Mother’s Day.

The recipient of the donation is Georgia Williams, founder and operator of the not-for-profit organization Parent and Child Enrichment Program (PACE).

Williams, a cancer survivor and mother of three, is also the caretaker for her newborn niece and has dedicated her life to educating pregnant women about the risks and side-effects of taking scheduled drugs.

“Georgia is a woman with a big heart who always has a wise and encouraging word for those around her,” said Tami Smith, co-owner of Christian Brothers Automotive Irmo. “We are thrilled to be able to support a local mother who has made a positive impact in the community through her not-for-profit organization. This donation of free oil changes for a year is a small way for us to show our appreciation for all that she does.”
