Carolina Wings and Rib House is spreading a little Christmas cheer again this year by hosting a pancake breakfast fundraises for a local school near their Ballentine restaurant.
On December 4, the restaurant served hundreds of adults and children from River Springs Elementary raising more than $1500 for the school. “This is important to us each year,” said Carolina Wings owner Myra Schoolmeester. “The look on the children’s faces is so precious.”
It had the look and sounds of Christmas all around the restaurant as holiday shows played on the televisions and Christmas music was heard overhead. The rooms were full of decorations and even the teachers and children showed up in holiday wear. Santa Claus was available to hear the student’s wishes for the holiday and hot chocolate was set up for the children to enjoy.
Fundraising efforts go to supplying and upgrading playground equipment around the school. Carolina Wings and Rib House is located at 1000 Marina Rd. in Ballentine and can be reached at 803-851-4500.
