Casey Pash Selected as Finalist for National JA Award

Casey Pash, president of Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina, has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Junior Achievement USA (JA) Charles R. Hook Award. This award is presented annually to a JA Area president who demonstrates exceptional achievements in fostering the growth and development of Junior Achievement.

Pash will learn if she is the recipient of the award during the Junior Achievement USA National Leadership Conference, held in Kansas City, Missouri, from July 15 to 18.

“Being recognized by JAUSA as a Hook Finalist is a true reflection of the work the JA team is doing here in South Carolina,” Pash said. “The JA Staff and JA Board are committed to teaching the skillsets and mindsets that build thriving communities here in South Carolina. With this recognition, JA will continue to grow throughout the state, teaching financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.”

The Charles R. Hook Award pays tribute to Charles R. Hook, the former president and chairman of Junior Achievement during the 1940s and 1950s. Under Hook’s leadership, Junior Achievement expanded from a regional initiative in the northeastern United States to a national organization.

Under Pash’s leadership and guidance, Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina has experienced significant expansion and progress. Pash has overseen the organization through a statewide consolidation, tripled their net assets, and led her team in reaching 40,000 South Carolina students with work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy instruction in the 2023-2024 school year.

Acknowledging Pash’s accomplishments, Jack E. Kosakowski, president and CEO of Junior Achievement USA, expressed admiration.

“Casey’s outstanding achievements stand as a source of inspiration for all JA leaders as we continue to pursue our mission of empowering students with the essential skills and knowledge for success,” Kosakowski said. “Casey exemplifies the core values of Junior Achievement and has showcased unwavering dedication to driving the growth and prosperity of our organization. We take great pride in selecting her as a finalist for this esteemed award, recognizing her remarkable contributions.”
