Council candidate meets with Congressman

Irmo Town Council candidate Gabriel Penfield recently attended a fundraiser for Congressman Joe Wilson held at Grecian Gardens in West Columbia,

Penfield spoke with Congressman Wilson seeking insights into federal strategies for local businesses and job creation.

“Congressman Wilson added valuable depth with his legislative perspectives,” said Penfield. “The collaborations extending to healthcare and education reflect a proactive move to secure federal resources for Irmo.”

Penfield is running for Irmo Town Council in a special election to be held on February 27. The seat was formerly held by Councilman Bill Danielson who won the mayor seat in November’s election.

The special election will be for a two-year term.
