District Five launches new COVID-19 dashboard

The data reflects staff and student cases that have been reported to the district. Whenever there are positive cases in schools, the district will notify individuals that need to be notified per South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) guidelines. The dashboard is updated every morning and reflects data reported the prior day.

The dashboard can be found on the district website homepage and at the following link: lexrich5.org/covid19dashboard. The 2021-2022 dashboard features the number of positive, isolated, and quarantined students and staff. Some components will be updated daily while others will be updated every Thursday. This dashboard will also publicize the mitigation level for the current week for each school.

Positive students or staff are those who were identified as COVID-19 positive that day. Isolated students or staff are those who have been identified as COVID-19 positive on a previous day and are in isolation due to the positive test. Quarantined students or staff are those who have been identified as a close contact of a person that tested positive for COVID-19.

A school’s mitigation level is determined by the percentage of students or staff who are COVID-impacted and the DHEC risk level for Lexington and Richland counties. Mitigation levels are updated every Thursday and go into effect the following Monday.
