District Five Students Shine at FCCLA National Leadership Conference

IRMO – Irmo High School’s chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently attended the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, held in Orlando, Florida.

Students took part in a variety of leadership workshops designed to strengthen skills in communication, goal setting, and community service. They also competed in Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) events, proudly representing Irmo High and the state of South Carolina on the national stage.

The Irmo FCCLA chapter earned gold medals in nearly every event they entered, a testament to their dedication and preparation. Their performance once again highlighted Lexington-Richland School District Five as a center for student excellence in career and technical education.

A highlight of the week came as Dawt Tling was officially sworn in as FCCLA State Vice President of Community Service for 2025–2026. In her new leadership role, she helped facilitate meetings, support statewide planning initiatives, and played a key role in the South Carolina award ceremony.
