School District Five’s Student Nutrition department is continuing to ensure no child goes hungry by offering a meal to students within three of the district’s after-school programs. The meal is made possible through the district’s sponsorship of the Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food Program.
The program began in October and will end September 2027. Meals will be offered Monday through Friday to students enrolled in afterschool programs at Dutch Fork Elementary School, Harbison West Elementary School, Irmo Elementary School, Leaphart Elementary School, Nursery Road Elementary School, Oak Pointe Elementary, Seven Oaks Elementary, and YMCA Northwest.
Meals will be provided to all children enrolled in the after-school program regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability without charge.
