After an 0-3 start, defending Class 5A champion Dutch Fork has started to make its climb back towards .500.

The Silver Foxes (2-3, 0-1) will close out the non-region portion of their schedule at 7:30 p.m. Friday at home against Weddington High School. Located in Matthews, N.C., the Warriors (4-1) are coming off a 66-13 win over Chapel Hill.
Transfer wide receiver Keenan Jackson, a University of North Carolina commit, caught three touchdowns. The Warriors rebounded from a 22-15 loss a week earlier to David Butler and head coach Andy Capone is 67-7 in his career at the school.
Dutch Fork will have a bye week next before opening Region 4-5A play Sept. 29 against White Knoll.
