Dutch Fork High School senior Jarvis Green is one of 17 athletes who has been nominated for the 2022 Richland County High School Football Player of the Year award.
This prestigious award is presented annually to the top varsity high school senior football player in Richland County who demonstrates great character, sharp intellect, community involvement, as well as academic and athletic excellence. The selected winner of the award will receive a $2,000 scholarship for his hard work and dedication on and off the field.
“Jarvis Green is having a great year for Dutch Fork,” said Dutch Fork High School head coach Tom Knotts. “His versatility makes him a dynamic weapon for the Silver Foxes. His running, pass catching and kick return abilities make him one of the top 5 players in the state and deserving of this honor.”
The winner is selected by a panel of voters from local Columbia media outlets and 17 head football coaches from each high school in Richland County.
The winner will be announced during a banquet held in their honor on December 1, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.
