IRMO, SC – Dutch Fork High School’s senior football standout, Cayden McFadden, has been nominated as one of 17 candidates for the prestigious 2024-2025 Richland County High School Football Player of the Year Award, presented by the Richland County Recreation Commission and Foundation.
As an offensive lineman and tight end for the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes, McFadden is a leader both on the field and in the classroom. Reflecting on the nomination, McFadden shared, “It’s an honor to represent my family and Dutch Fork. I owe this recognition to my coaches, teammates, and community who have supported me along the way.”
Nominees must be senior varsity players at one of Richland County’s 17 high schools and meet academic, athletic, and citizenship standards, including a minimum 2.5 GPA. The award’s recipient will be selected by a panel of coaches and media voters, with the winner receiving a $2,000 scholarship or an educational bundle of equal value at a special banquet on December 2, 2024.
