School District Five Seniors Honored for Military Commitment
The South Carolina Department of Education held a Military Honor Cords Ceremony on May 13, recognizing high school seniors across the state who will be entering the military or attending a military service academy after graduation.
Several students from Lexington-Richland School District Five were among those honored at the event. Each student received a red, white, and blue honor cord to wear proudly during their graduation ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to serve the nation.
The ceremony featured remarks from state officials, education leaders, and military representatives, all of whom expressed their appreciation and admiration for the students’ choice to serve. The event celebrated their dedication, patriotism, and the bright futures they are building through service.
Congratulations to these future service members for their honorable decision and their commitment to protecting and serving the United States.
