The Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 19, to officially welcome Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Irmo to the community, joined by representatives from the Town of Irmo.
Attendees packed the new facility to tour the building and learn more about the specialized care now available locally.
Key leaders delivered speeches during the event, including Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce CEO Kerry Driggers and Mayor Bill Danielson. Encompass Health Leadership, represented by CEO Nicole Woods and Medical Director Danny Westerkam, highlighted the hospital’s mission to support patient recovery and long-term wellness.
The state-of-the-art facility offers comprehensive rehabilitative care, specializing in physical, occupational, and speech therapy for patients recovering from major illnesses, injuries, and surgeries.
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Irmo is now open at 108 Evergreen Drive, Irmo, SC 29063.
