Before the sun rose on September 8, the Gator Grill Cafeteria staff at River Springs Elementary School was at work preparing breakfast as part of the school’s annual Grits for Grands event. Whether a Grandma, PawPaw, Gramps or Nana, the event provided a chance for students to enjoy time with their Grandparents and celebrate Grandparents Day. More than 200 attendees were served breakfast while celebrating the connections between generations.
