Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College is offering two special performances this October that promise fun for the whole family.
The Sharpe Family Singers: The Best of Broadway will take the stage on Saturday, October 18, at 7:30 p.m.
Broadway stars Ron and Barbra Sharpe — best known as the original Marius and Cosette from Les Misérables — will be joined by their children Samantha, Logan, and twins Aidan and Connor for a night of music and entertainment. The show features songs from Broadway classics, Disney favorites, blockbuster movies, and pop hits. The family gained national attention as semifinalists on America’s Got Talent and performers on American Idol.
The Halloween spirit arrives the following week when the South Carolina Philharmonic presents “Halloween at Hogwarts” on Sunday, October 26, at 3:30 p.m.
The theatre will be transformed into the famous school of witchcraft and wizardry as conductor Morihiko Nakahara leads the orchestra through classical selections and John Williams’ music from the Harry Potter films. Families can also enjoy live animal encounters from the Carolina Wildlife Center before the concert and during intermission.
Tickets for both shows are $40 for general admission and $35 for students, seniors, and military members.
