The Irmo Town Council recently recognized Mike Sompel for his service and dedication to the community.
For more than 12 years Sompel has been a member of the Public Works Department, consistently demonstrating professionalism, commitment, and pride in his work.
Recently, during a period of transition within the department, Sompel stepped up to serve as Foreman of the Public Works team, providing leadership, stability, and guidance to staff. He has been especially focused on the beautification and enhancement of the town’s parks, with an emphasis on Moore Park located at 7473 Church Street.
