Irmo High School has earned the South Carolina Band Directors Association (SCBDA) Outstanding Performance Award for the 2025-2026 school year.
It marks the second consecutive year that the band program has earned this prestigious distinction. The recognition is the highest award a band program can receive in the state of South Carolina.
The SCBDA Outstanding Performance Award is earned through the accumulation of points based on participation and ratings received at several state-sponsored events, including: Marching Band Championships, All-State and Region Band, Jazz Performance Assessment, Concert Performance Assessment, Solo and Ensemble Festival.
