River Springs Elementary fifth grader Franchesca Shirley and teacher Sharon Giordano have been honored as the Irmo Chamber’s November Student and Teacher of the Month.
Principal Matt Gams said, “Franchesca is an incredible kid. She is one of those students who can be counted on to always be on task in the classroom and does everything with a smile on her face. She is a leader in our school and very deserving of this honor.”
Gams said, “Mrs. Giordano is a teacher who knows how to interact and teach kids. She is a problem-solver and a thinker. She is a teacher that I can rely on and one that I collaborate with on a daily basis to troubleshoot issues together.”
