By Emily Cates

Irmo Elementary School is proud to announce Hannah Pate as our Teacher of the Year and Angela Chambers as our Support Employee of the Year for 2025. Hannah Pate is our Art Teacher, and Angela Chambers is our 4K Excel Instructional Assistant. Each year, the staff of Irmo Elementary School votes to nominate the Teacher of the Year and Support Employee of the Year. We are blessed to have the best in the IES Hive. We are the #HeartoftheHive and, always, #BetterTogether.

We interviewed a few students and colleagues who shared their love and appreciation for Mrs. Pate:

Lilah & Ellis (3rd grade) said, “Mrs. Pate has really fun activities, and she is really, really nice. If
we need help, she helps us. She is really caring.”
