Irmo Little League started play Monday in North Sussex, Deleware in the Senior League Softball World Series.
It opened with a 10-0 loss to Canada in Pool B. The Southeast Region champions managed just two hits and committed three errors.
The softball team looked to bounce back Tuesday with two games against Central Region champion Michigan District 4 and Europe-Asia champion the Czech Republic District 01. It then closed out Pool B play Wednesday against West Region champion Honolulu Little League.
Also on Monday, Irmo Little League sent a baseball team to Warner Robbins, Georgia for the Little League Baseball Southeast Region tournament.
Irmo will open at 6 pm Thursday against West Virginia. The winner will face either Florida or Georgia at 4 pm Friday with the losing teams facing each other in the elimination game.
