Irmo Middle School to Host Pollinator Plant Sale

IRMO — Irmo Middle School will host its annual Pollinator Plant Sale on Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28, with in-person shopping at the school’s greenhouse, followed by an online sale beginning Monday, March 30 at 8 a.m. through Tuesday, March 31 at 8 p.m.

The in-person sale will take place at the greenhouse located at 6051 Wescott Road in Columbia. Community members are encouraged to use the car loop and gym driveway to access the greenhouse.

The online sale can be accessed at: www.tinyurl.com/IMSPlantSale2026

The community is invited to shop a wide variety of plants grown and prepared by students through the Green Steps program. Proceeds from the sale will support continued student learning and future greenhouse operations.

Plants available include native milkweed and other pollinator-friendly varieties, as well as lantana, coreopsis, geraniums, impatiens, zinnias, cosmos, marigolds, verbena, coleus, inch plant, purple heart, tomatoes, peppers, herbs, vegetables, and more.

Shoppers may purchase plants using cash, check, or Venmo.

The annual sale provides students with valuable hands-on experience in plant production and greenhouse management, while giving the community an opportunity to purchase locally grown plants just in time for spring planting.
