The Irmo Police Department charged 3 juveniles in a string of burglaries committed at the Irmo Little League Concession Stand, located off Chadford Road. A total of 3 burglaries were reported between April 20, 2023, and May 27, 2023, in which the concession stand was broken into, and candy was stolen. These burglaries all took place during the nighttime hours, making them violent crimes according to South Carolina State Law. The Criminal Investigations Division was able to identify 3 juveniles (two 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old) throughout their investigation and charge them with the following:
- Juvenile #1 2 Counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, Violent
2 Counts of Possession of Burglary Tools - Juvenile #2 1 Count of Burglary 2nd Degree, Violent
1 Count of Possession of Burglary Tools - Juvenile #3 1 Count of Burglary 2nd Degree, Violent
These charges will be handled by the Richland County Solicitor’s Office Juvenile Division. Due to the ages of the suspects, their identities will not be released.
