Irmo Police Community Foundation helps seniors

The Irmo Police Department Community Foundation supported our seniors in Irmo last week be distributing groceries. The foundation members along with some of Irmo’s finest gave bags full of perishable and some non perishable items to folks at Irmo Village Apartments located on Irmo Drive. The program called Serving our Seniors or SOS helps seniors who can’t get out to provide for themselves.

“The look on their faces makes all the work worthwhile,’ said Foundation President Hamed Javad. “The donations from sponsors make this all possible.”

The Irmo Police Department Community Foundation raises funds to help promote Shop with a Cop, National Night Out, Irmo Trunk or Treat and other community programs. The foundation can be reached at 803-781-8088.
