CHAPIN – Thousands of music fans and boaters are expected to gather on Lake Murray this Saturday, July 11, for Reggaetronic Presents Lake Murray Palooza, one of South Carolina’s largest on-the-water music festivals.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Fat Frogs Marina, 1701 Dreher Island Road in Chapin. Festival-goers can enjoy live music from the shoreline while hundreds of boats anchor offshore, creating a unique floating concert venue on the lake.
This year’s festival also celebrates America’s 250th anniversary, with attendees encouraged to wear patriotic clothing and decorate their boats, floats and beach areas in red, white and blue.
In addition to live entertainment, the event will feature food and beverage vendors, VIP experiences, sponsor exhibits and family-friendly activities throughout the day. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Game Changers, helping support programs that serve local children and families.
“We’re excited to welcome everyone back to Lake Murray for an incredible day of live music, lake life and community,” said Reggaetronic founder Ronnie Alexander. “This event has become a summer tradition, and we’re proud to continue growing it while supporting a meaningful local cause thanks to the help of many regional and local sponsors, including Tidewater Boats, Monster Energy, Coogler Construction and many more.”
Guests arriving by vehicle should park at 124 Long Pine Road in Chapin, where complimentary shuttle service will transport attendees to and from the marina.
Boaters are encouraged to arrive early and follow all South Carolina Department of Natural Resources boating regulations.
