Leaphart Elementary School Celebrates New Published Authors

Hats off to the exceptional achievements of nine budding authors from Leaphart Elementary School (LES) STEAM Magnet! Thanks to the Share Your Story writing program facilitated by author Stan Tucker, these talented students have now become published authors. From October 2-6, Tucker’s program guided both students and teachers through the intricate process of storytelling, and students in grades 3-5 dedicated themselves to crafting their narratives from October to December. The culmination of their hard work resulted in a selection of captivating stories, all of which were submitted to Stan Tucker’s team for review. The team meticulously chose eight winners whose books will now be professionally published.

Our accomplished young authors include:

  • Huxley Young (3rd Grade) – “My Life as a Geologist”
  • James Grogan (3rd Grade) – “Game Day”
