Four School District Five students are now published authors.
Author Stan Tucker brought his Share Your Story writing program to the district last year. The program walks students and teachers through the writing process. Students in grades 3-5 worked on their stories and all finished stories were submitted to Stan Tucker’s team and they chose these students to have their books professionally published.
Students authors are: Harmony Chandler (Harbison West Elementary) Hamony’s Loose Tooth, Zoey Davidson (Dutch Fork Elementary) The Magnificent Rainbow, Evelyn Hickman (CrossRoads Intermediate) The Big Ski Jump, Alijah Syphert (Dutch Fork Elementary) How the Alligator Lost His Teeth.
