School District Five celebrated its eighth year of the student-initiative Project SEARCH, graduating students from the program during a May 25 ceremony at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge.
The four students who graduated in the class of 2023 include Carolina Cook (Spring Hill High), Sydney Dunlap (Dutch Fork High), Emma McPherson (Dutch Fork High), and Averon Warren (Dutch Fork High).
All students from the Project SEARCH program have obtained employment. School District Five, Prisma Health and SC Vocational Rehabilitation have collaborated since 2015 to bring Project SEARCH to teens in the Midlands with special needs.
