SC Biz News Announces 2025 Empowering Women and Most Influential Leaders Award Winners

SC Biz News has selected Jeanean Petoskey, Chief Executive Officer at LawyerLisa as a 2025 MOST INFLUENTIAL LEADERS honoree.

Empowering Women Awards shine a light on companies and organizations that have demonstrated tangible efforts and documented results in supporting and elevating women in South Carolina. Winners were selected by members of the SC Biz News leadership team and were judged based on documented hiring and promoting of women; leadership positions held by women; advocacy for the cause of women internally and externally; and efforts to cultivate the next generation of women professionals.

Most Influential Leaders recognition program honors and celebrates talented business and nonprofit leaders across the state. These leaders consistently demonstrate remarkable leadership skills, integrity, values, vision, commitment to excellence, company performance and community service. The honorees were selected by the SC Biz News leadership team.

“The 2025 Empowering Women winners invest in, elevate and support women leaders throughout the state. They demonstrate tangible, innovative efforts to assist women in taking on new opportunities in business and in the community,” said Jason Thomas, executive editor of SC Biz News. “The Most Influential Leaders are dynamic leaders who are at the pinnacle of their careers, working to improve our lives, our state and our future. They are visionary, respected and actively engaged in the community. We at SC Biz News are pleased to honor these outstanding leaders in South Carolina.”

The winners will be honored Sept. 15 at a celebration at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, 1101 Lincoln St., Columbia. The event begins at 4 p.m. with a networking reception followed at 5 p.m. by dinner and the awards program. The hashtag is #SCBIZevents
