Experienced, professional accountant David Estes was approved by the Board of Trustees March 23 to serve in the role. Estes has served as a financial controller for Sharpvue, Inc, a senior accountant for Rather Outdoors and an auditor for Burkett, Burkett and Burkett.
“I’m honored and excited to serve District Five as Director of Finance,” Estes said. “It’s a privilege to contribute to a district with such a strong commitment to excellence. I look forward to partnering with leadership to ensure resources are deployed in a way that maximizes impact for students, staff, and the community.”
Estes received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina, and his master of accounting degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
“We are so excited to welcome David Estes as the new Director of Finance for Lexington Richland School District Five,” School District Five Chief Financial Officer Heather Tucker said. “Mr. Estes is a CPA who will bring a fresh perspective to the finance department. His background in education and auditing will be tremendous assets to the district.”
