On October 13 Sergio Aparicio was named the award recipient of the Elephant Recognition Award during One Million Cups, a weekly event for local entrepreneurs to meet and present their startups in Columbia.
The Elephant Recognition Award is a tradition to thank and acknowledge bites of the elephant, meaning that everything in life that seems daunting, overwhelming, and even impossible can be accomplished gradually by taking on just a little at a time.
Each week a new recipient is recognized by the previous recipient for his or her efforts to help build the community. This week, Sergio Aparicio, Business Development Manager with the City of Columbia Economic Development Office received the Elephant as recognition for his efforts in building, leading, engaging, and fostering entrepreneurship in Columbia.
“He has done an amazing job building our entrepreneurial community and assisting entrepreneurs, innovators, and creators in scaling their business. Just like what is represented with this recognition, one step at the time we can collaborate to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in SC,” said Colin Griffin, the Founder of Krumware and former recipient of the Award.
