Columbia, SC — Seven Oaks Elementary School Global Magnet is celebrating a major achievement — six of its students are now officially published authors!
As part of Stan Tucker’s Share Your Story Writing Challenge, students have spent the past several months writing and refining their own original stories. After reviewing the submissions, Tucker selected six standout works to be professionally illustrated and published through the Leap for Literacy Publishing Program.
The young authors and their books are:
-
Karter Counts – The Smile That Wasn’t Mine
-
Madison Dykes – The First Axolotl
-
Bryant Reyes Andres – The Three Loud Boys
-
Eli’Jah Cheatham – Stickman and Pencil
-
Aaliyah Rawls – Being Beautiful is Not Hard
-
Natalia Jenkins – Natalia’s Big Warm Heart
These talented students will soon see their stories brought to life with professional illustrations and publication, a milestone that celebrates creativity, confidence, and the power of storytelling at a young age.
The school and community are incredibly proud of these student authors, whose voices will now reach readers beyond the classroom.
