Irmo resident Sophia Outhous achieved a remarkable personal best in the 5K, clocking in at 19:44.8 during the 2024 Eye Opener hosted by USC Upstate. Outhous is a member of the Spartanburg Methodist College women’s cross country team, which finished 12th among college competitors and 13th overall in a highly competitive field that included seven NCAA Division I schools.
