The Pop Up Neighbors presented a Thank You banner to the Town of Irmo that was signed by dozens of citizens of the town during National Night Out held on Aug. 2. The group of community-minded individuals formed the faith-based Pop Up Neighbors to help raise funds and awareness for connectivity in the Town of Irmo. The 3’ x 6’ banner was signed by children, seniors, young adults and families.
“We keep that small town feel,” said Town Administrator Courtney Dennis. “You can get a lot done when you have people who care.”
Community members include Gravell Wealth Management of Raymond James, Wyche Warren Scarimbolo, CPA; Christ Mission Church – The Door Home; Senior Resources; Irmo Police Department Community Foundation; Boy Scouts of America-Indian Waters Council; Friends of Ballentine; Soda City Pharmacy & Compounding and FASTSIGNS of Harbison.
“We believe by joining hands and efforts we become like family and will answer the call to aid others when there is a need,” said Irmo Police Department Community Foundation President Hamed Javad.
The presentation was held at Town Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
