Youngs Chapel Level Up Summer Camp came to a close last Friday, June 26, with closing ceremonies for the campers. Held at Midlands Technical College Harbison Campus, the forty 6-12 year olds were subjected to art, dance, gardening and STEM activities. Mrs. Harriett Abraham was the camp director and worship leaders were Chloe Harris and Reagan Butler. Rev. Fedrick Wilson is the Pastor of Youngs Chapel AME Church and helped preside over the ceremony.

Each student received a diploma for completing the camp and put on a praise dance exhibition and sang songs. Irmo Mayor Bill Danielson and Councilwoman Phyllis Coleman gave closing remarks and encouraged to children to dream big and work hard. Sponsors for the camp included the Mayor’s Uplift Initiative which provided food and snacks for the week, Mungo Foundation, irmo Police Department, Irmo Fire Department , Mr Dwight Hora and Mr. Lester Blackwell.
