Catherine Huddle announces re-election to District Five School Board

Focusing on her record and looking forward to the future, Trustee Catherine Huddle announced her re-election bid for Lexington-Richland Five School Board.

“Over the last four years we handled COVID-19 better than any other school district in South Carolina and we made significant strides in enhancing the quality of education and ensuring that every student has the resources they need to succeed,” said Huddle,  “I am proud of the progress we have made, but there is still more work to be done.”

Elected in 2020, Huddle has been a leader in fighting for teachers, fiscal accountability, transparency, educational quality and safeguarding students and staff. Huddle represents one of the seats in the Lexington County portion of the district.

“It has been my mission to focus on core skills for students to ensure their success after their graduation, no matter their future plans. We can build on our successes and improve our future. We have an amazing community to make that happen. I am looking forward to tackling the important issues we face moving forward.”

Catherine and her husband Ed live in Chapin. Their daughters, Dr. Kelcy Huddle Alexeev and Dr. Lauren Huddle, are District Five graduates. The school board elections occur on Tuesday, November 5th. Visit HuddleforD5.com for more information on Huddle’s campaign.
