IRMO – Irmo High School’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter made a remarkable showing at the South Carolina FCCLA Spring State Conference, earning top honors and developing their leadership skills through interactive workshops and state-level competitions.
Students competed in a variety of Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) events, showcasing their talents and hard work. The Irmo FCCLA chapter walked away with gold medals in nearly every competitive event, and earned the opportunity to represent South Carolina at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference this summer in Orlando, Florida.
Among the highlights was Dawt Tling’s election as Vice President of Community Service for the 2025–2026 state officer team—a reflection of Tling’s commitment to service and leadership.

“I am so incredibly proud of these students and the hard work they have invested in preparing for the conference and competition,” said Irmo High FCCLA Advisor Tari Watson. “The team not only worked hard on their individual projects, but also displayed incredible teamwork in preparing and supporting one another. This has by far been one of my best years working with students.”
The students now turn their focus to nationals, where they’ll compete on a larger stage and continue to represent the Irmo community with pride and excellence.
