Open Letter
I support Bill Danielson for mayor because he has shown me what leadership, civility, and financial responsibility is.
He was there when we needed him when we had criminal activity coming from Columbia into our neighborhoods. He is the one who got law enforcement from four jurisdictions together to work on a solution. Bill was an instrumental voice for the Flock Cameras in the Town of Irmo. Not only for our area but in areas in town that needed extra eyes. As per Chief Dale, it has been an invaluable tool for the Irmo Police Department. That is Leadership.
Bill listens to the concerns of the citizens. He doesn’t cut them off, nor does he shut down opposing viewpoints. He truly listens. He brings a sense of Decorum to council. He doesn’t bicker or belittle others on Council or Citizens of Irmo. He follows the rules set forth by the state on how to conduct business.
He is fiscally responsible with our taxpayer dollars. He is going to look at what is good for the Town and its residents. He is not going to give money to special interests that will spend with no accountability.
In this day and time, I would want a leader who can be there to make the decisions for Irmo if disaster strikes. God forbid.
He can bring civility back to the Town, bring responsible growth, and assist our law enforcement to protect the ever-growing community.
Bill Danielson is the only candidate for mayor who can unite this community and do all of this.
