IRMO, S.C. – The Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce has named Caroline Blevins and Harmony Chandler from Harbison West Elementary School as the April Teacher and Student of the Month.

Mrs. Caroline Blevins, a fourth-grade teacher and the school’s current Teacher of the Year, was praised by Principal Dr. Thomas Turner for her heart-centered approach and unwavering dedication to her students.

“She is an exceptional educator who leads with her heart, lifts others up, and never stops believing in the potential of every single student,” said Dr. Turner. “Her love for this work shines through every single day. She inspires not only her students, but also everyone around her.”

Harmony Chandler, a second-grade student, was selected for her strong character, leadership, and consistent pursuit of excellence.

“Harmony sets high expectations for herself and encourages those around her to do the same,” Turner said. “She is kind, compassionate, and mature beyond her years. She truly represents the best of Harbison West.”
