Chief Bobby Dale is announcing the termination of an Irmo Police Officer. An investigation was opened by IPD’s Internal Affairs this morning after receiving information that Officer Lee Haley was involved in removing political signs that were recently reported as stolen this week by candidate Gabriel Penfield.
The investigation determined that Officer Haley was responsible for the removal of these signs.
The investigation will be turned over to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) in the event charges are sought by the victim.
“We hold our officers accountable, especially when they go against our core values of integrity, professionalism, and dependability”, stated Chief Dale.
