Dr. Matthew Boyeson of Midlands Family Chiropractic offered the SC Career Kids class a glimpse at the world of chiropractic medicine.
The class met at Irmo Elementary School on January 10 and the children ranged from first to fourth grade.
“I could tell these children were excited to learn,” said Boyeson. “They were full of meaningful questions and excited about some of the intricacies of bones and joints.”
SC Career Kids is designed for children to explore careers through interaction with experts. Founder Katy Wiggs began the initiative during the COVID-19 outbreak and partnered with the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce to create a one-room schoolhouse where professionals were invited to offer insights into their fields.
