South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette stopped by the Mullikin Law Offices in Camden, Tuesday evening, Nov. 1, for a traditional stump rally and celebration. The event, part of a get-out-the-vote bus tour that began Sunday, Oct. 30, was one of 19 stops across the Palmetto State, which will be made before the general election, Nov. 8.

Standing on the front steps of the historic Mullikin Law Offices, McMaster, Evette, and Dr. Tom Mullikin, who chairs McMaster’s S.C. Floodwater Commission, spoke about the importance of voting early and encouraging others to vote, preserving election integrity, economic viability (to include McMaster’s strong record of capital investment and tax cuts), protecting the environment, and continuing to enhance educational opportunities for all.

“This is a governor who has successfully defended businesses – and South Carolina’s strong pro-business culture – which might’ve otherwise been shuttered during the COVID pandemic due to stifling, overreaching Federal mandates,” said Mullikin, who hosted the rally with wife Virginia Ann. “My good friend Gov. McMaster and with him my also good friend Lt. Gov. Evette are quite simply proven champions for the working man and woman, military veterans, the elderly, and those who have suffered economic hardship through no fault of their own or losses from natural disasters which have plagued our state.”

The Mullikin Law stump rally featured the smartly uniformed band and color guard from nearby Camden Military Academy and was attended by a throng of state and county legislators, Kershaw County law enforcement leaders, retired senior military officers, family and friends.

McMaster concluded his remarks by pointing to the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bible as must-reads for every South Carolinian.

McMaster’s opponent, former U.S. Congressman Joe Cunningham, is also stumping this week with at least seven stops slated for his statewide tour.
