The Irmo Town Council unanimously requested that the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) place a 4-way stop at the intersection of North Royal Tower Drive and Chadford Road due to safety concerns and speeding complaints. The new stop signs will be in place beginning Monday, Sept. 12. Stopping traffic on N. Royal Tower Drive is new and motorists should be prepared as they approach that intersection.
