The St. Andrews Optimist Club welcomed Adam Feeney as their guest speaker at the February 21 breakfast meeting, where he shared exciting details about the remodeling of Anchor Lanes on Lake Murray Boulevard.
Feeney, a 2012 University of South Carolina graduate with a concentration in Finance, detailed the extensive renovations that will transform Anchor Lanes into Columbia’s first luxury fitness center, while still preserving its bowling legacy.
The redevelopment, which has been in progress for over three years, holds special meaning for Feeney, who grew up bowling at Anchor Lanes and recalls helping his father pressure wash the lanes. Now, he is playing a key role in revitalizing the space into a family-friendly entertainment hub.
Features of the New Facility:
Club Fitness – A high-end fitness experience focused on value and luxury
Traditional Bowling – League and individual play on fully rebuilt lanes
Full-Swing Golf Simulator – Featuring over 140 programmed courses
Full-Service Bar & Restaurant – Offering food and drinks for visitors
Arcade & Pool Tables – Entertainment options for all ages
Feeney envisions a membership total of 1,000 and remains open to evolving the facility to enhance the guest experience.
The official grand opening of the new Anchor Lanes Luxury Fitness & Entertainment Center is scheduled for March 4.
