Lexington-Richland School District Five has named longtime administrator Rebecca Dilley the new principal at Dutch Fork Elementary School.
Dilley has served as assistant principal of instruction at Chapin Intermediate School since 2019. Prior to that job, she served as an administrative assistant principal at Ballentine Elementary School. She has also served in the classroom as a third and sixth-grade teacher. She was approved for her new post during a school board meeting on May 22.
“I am humbled and honored to be selected as Principal of Dutch Fork Elementary School,” Dilley said. “This is a dream come true! It will be my privilege to work and learn alongside the greatest and most dedicated educators who share the same vision to love and grow our students. I am excited to begin our journey together by building life-long relationships with my new DFES family!”
Dilley earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Winthrop University. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of South Carolina.
“Mrs. Dilley has worked in School District Five since 2016 and has excelled in every role she’s had,” said School District Five Superintendent Dr. Akil E. Ross, Sr. “Mrs. Dilley is an experienced leader who is passionate about the growth of students and teachers. We are thrilled she is taking this new leadership role and look forward to having her lead Dutch Fork Elementary School into a bright future.”
