On Saturday, May 25, Irmo Mayor Bill Danielson threw out the first pitch during Irmo Night at the Blowfish ballpark. The Lexington County Blowfish honor local municipalities and businesses by inviting them to throw out pitches before the game.
Mayor Danielson impressed the crowd by throwing a strike from the mound and congratulating the catcher for his excellent catch. The event took place at the Blowfish’s home field, located at 474 Ball Park Rd. in Lexington. The Blowfish are a part of the Coastal Plain League.
