Irmo Chamber Honors Student and Teacher of the Month

The Irmo Chamber of Commerce has named Kennedy Shephard and Erin Moffit from Irmo Middle School as Student and Teacher of the Month.

Student of the Month
Kennedy Shephard, an 8th grader, was recognized for her kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to her studies. Principal Mansa Joseph praised Kennedy, saying, “She builds positive relationships with her peers and teachers. Kennedy has the motivation and integrity we want all our students to strive for. I am so proud to have her at our school.”

Teacher of the Month
Erin Moffit, a teacher who joined Irmo Middle School from the Department of Juvenile Justice, was commended for her leadership and passion for teaching. Principal Joseph described her as “amazing, brilliant, and kind,” adding, “Erin goes above and beyond each day with a smile on her face. I’m proud to work alongside her.”
